How do I Re-image my Server ?

If you need to have your server Re-imaged this can be done through the 1&1 Control Panel. To do this please follow these steps:
1. Log into the 1&1 Control Panel http://admin.1and1.co.uk

2. Select the Server that you want to re-image, if you only have 1 it will automatically do this for you.

3. Click on the "Server Re-image button".

4. Select what image you would like installed on there, for Dedicated Linux Servers you have 3 options:

Fedora Core 4 with Plesk 8 : This is 1&1’s standard load and is recommended

Debian 3.1 (stable/sarge) Minimal system : This is a cut down load of Debian, you will
need to be a skilled Linux administrator to be able to use this.

SUSE 9.3 with Plesk 8 : Similar to the 1&1 standard image, however using SUSE Linux
instead of Fedora Core.

5. Once you have selected the image that you want installed on the server click on the "Next" button.

6. The final step before the Re-image starts. Please Note that any data and settings will be removed,
you should backup your data before proceeding.

7. To start the Re-image click on the "Re-image" button.

8. The Server Re-Image will take around 1 hour.
