How to setup FTP on Windows Server 2008


Step 1

Log into remote desktop. You can find the article describing how to connect with remote desktop >> here .

Step 2

Go to Start --> Administrative Tools --> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

Step 3

Click on the + sybol next to the computer name (the U number) to expand the menu.

Click on the domain you have already set up in IIS. If you have not setup the site within IIS yet you may want to take a look at >> How to setup a website in Windows Server 2008 . Then click on Add FTP Publishing... in the far right column.

Step 5

Leave the box empty under Virtual Host: and click on the circle next to Allow SSL.

Step 6

Check the box next to Basic. Below Allow access to: select All Users from the drop down menu. check the boxes next to Read and Write. Click Finish.

Step 7

Cick Ok and refresh IIS.
