How long do I have to wait before the domain is successfully registered?


The usual time-period before having a domain successfully registered is 24 hours, however this can
take longer due to occasional technical difficulties or errors with your registration. You can
check the status of your registration via the configuration menu at http://admin.1and1.co.uk.

After you sign up, you will be sent within 24 hours a customer ID which will allow you to access
the Control Panel (prior to that you can access it using your domain name and password). Once logged
into the 1&1 Control Panel, you will need to select the package, if you have more than one package
then you may need to scroll down the list to find the correct one.

You can then click on the 'Domains' from the Product Features section of the Control Panel
to view the status of your domain registration.

The domain name will take around 48 hours to become fully visible by all computers on the Internet.
This is because we need to let the DNS (Domain Name Servers) send out the new location for your site.

Please note
Please note that even though the password that you chose may be more than 8
letters, the password for the account is only 8 letters long! So cut out anything after the 8th letter!
