Outlook Express MSOE Errors


Problem


When you start Outlook Express or are receiving e-mail, you may get one of the following error messages:

* MSIMN caused an Invalid Page Fault in module unknown
* MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module MSOE.DLL at memory address
* MSIMN caused an Invalid Page Fault in module kernel32.dll


Solution


The cause lies in incorrectly formatted rules which are applied before email is downloaded. The fix is on the Microsoft Knowledge base.
