I've entered my 1&1 password and account number, yet I still can't send or receive mails, what am I doing wrong?

A common mistake is to enter the 1&1 account number and password when setting up an email account
(using any program, such as Outlook Express). The correct username and password for email access can
be retrieved from the customer configuration menu. To access the email from the customer configuration
menu, follow the steps below.

1. Goto the 1&1 Control Panel http://admin.1and1.co.uk
2. Insert your domain name or account number and your account password
3. Click on the package you wish to configure.
4. Once logged in, click 'E-mail' from the Websites & Features section. You will then get a page such as this:
5. The E-mail's account number is under the column Mailbox/Forward(s). The password for
the email account is not shown, If you have forgotten your password look in the FAQs for where it
says 'Where do I get the password for my POP3 mailbox?'
