How to Change the Password for your Mailbox


The E-mail password is the password that you chose when creating your E-mail account/mailbox. The password is not
displayed in the E-mail Overview for security reasons.

If you forget your mailbox password there is a password checker, however this will not give any hints. For more
information on how to use the Password Checker click here.

To create a New password for an existing E-mail account please use the following instructions:


Step 1 Log into the 1&1 Control Panel and select e-mail from the Package Features.
Step 2 Select the E-mail address that you wish to change the password for, this can be done but either clicking
directly on the E-mail Address;



Or by placing a tick in the box next to the E-mail address then clicking on the Settings button.
Step 3 From the E-Mail Settings screen, you need to click on "Edit" in the "Incoming E-mail Delivery Points" section
Step 4 Click on "Modify"
Step 5 Enter your new chosen password into the boxes provided, then click save
Step 6 Once the process is completed a Process completed screen will be displayed
