White & Blacklists

Whitelist

A whitelist is a list of accepted items or persons in a set.

When a spam filter keeps a whitelist, mail from the listed addresses, domains, and/or IPs will
always be allowed. Whitelists are used to reduce the incidence of false positives, often based
on the assumption that most legitimate mail will be from a relatively small and fixed set of
senders.

To create your personal whitelist for this e-mail address/box click on the button. This will
open a new window where you can enter e-mail addresses that will be allowed to send e-mails to
this account.

In the "Create a Whitelist" window, you will need to enter the e-mail addresses.

Each address needs to be on it own line.

Click on the OK button to save the addresses to your whitelist.

Blacklist

A blacklist is a list or register of entities who, for one reason or another, are being denied a
particular privilege, service, or mobility.

In computing, a blacklist is an access control mechanism that means, allow everybody, except members
of the blacklist. The opposite is a whitelist, which means, allow nobody, except members of the white
list.

In the "Create a Blacklist" window, you will need to enter the e-mail addresses.

Each address needs to be on it own line.

Click on the OK button to save the addresses to your Blacklist.
