How do I setup Eudora 7 To Send and Receive E-Mails?


Eudora 7 Setup



Step 1 Install Eudora 7 & start Eudora 7
Step 2 After Eudora is installed the first time that it runs the program will open a setup wizard, this guide is designed to help
you though setting up Eudora 7 to work with your 1&1 E-mail address and Mail servers.



Click on the Next button to continue.

Step 3 You must have created the E-mail address in the 1&1 Control Panel you must wait around 3 hours until you will
be able to use it to send and receive your mails.

Select the "Create a brand new email account" option. Then click on the Next button.



Step 4 Enter in your name, this will be shown as the display name and also on the E-mails you send as you’re the Persona name.



Click Next to continue.

Step 5 Enter your E-mail address, this will be shown and set as your E-mail address and will be used when people respond to
your E-Mail.



Click Next to continue.

Step 6 Next you will need to enter the username for the mailbox. This is your E-mail address. However you can also use the
1&1 Mailbox number, this can be found in the Mail section of your 1&1 Control Panel.



Click Next to continue

Step 7 You now need to enter the "Incoming Server", this is:

imap.1and1.co.uk


The Server type is IMAP
Make sure that you select IMAP as your server type.


Step 8 Leave the "IMAP Location Prefix" blank and click Next to continue.



Step 9 The "Outgoing Server" is:

auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk


This server requires authentication as a way of cutting down on
the Level of SPAM that is sent out, so you must make sure that
the "Allow Authentication" option is ticked.


Click Next to continue.

Step 10 You have now successfully setup Eudora 7 to send and receive mail.



Click Finish.
