Disable email scanning in Norton Internet Security 2004 or earlier.


1. Start NAV. If NAV is part of Norton Internet Security (NIS) or Norton SystemWorks (NSW), then start NIS or NSW.
2. Click Options. If you see a menu, then click Norton AntiVirus.
3. Click Email, and then uncheck "Scan Incoming Email" and "Scan Outgoing Email."
4. Click OK.
