How to set up a forwarding destination for the domain


Step 1 Login to your Control Panel http://admin.1and1.co.ukand click on the package you wish to configure.
Step 2 Click on 'Domains' from main section of the Control Panel.



Step 3 Select the domain. Click on 'Destination' and click on '"Edit Destination'.
Step 4 Enter the URL (address) and a title. Click 'Save'



What is the Meta description: This is the short description that you see in a search engine
after the link.

What are Meta keywords: This is a system used by some search engine to help with searching.
You enter keywords about your site and this will help you get hits from search engines.

Please note
Entering Meta descriptions and Meta Keywords does not guarantee you a listing on search engines.
Step 5 A confirmation will be displayed.


Question : Why do I want to forward my domain to another location?
Answer : You may have a site hosted on some free space such as Geocities or eGroups, however these generally
have very long addresses, so you can set your domain to forward to your free space.
